Flavoring Your Water

Ever wished your water "tasted" delicious without adding calories?  Essential oil blends not only flavor the water with an incredible flavor, but also have emotional and physical benefits.   All  "natural"--nothing artificial.  However, remember that oils are POWERFUL, especially those citrus.  And citrus oils react with plastic.

The most popular are Lemon Meringue, Key Lime Pie, Cream Soda,  and Dreamsicle. Also Vanilla Pie Spice, Marzipan, Cinnamon Bears, Chocolate Jelly Rings, Citrine or Gingerbread.

Lemon; Sweet, Wild or Blood Orange; Tangerine, Clementine, Bergamot, Distilled or Expressed Lime, Green or Red Mandarin, Pink or White Grapefruit, Peppermint, Spearmint,  can also be used for flavoring.   Read about Hydrosols here.  They are actually the preferred method of flavoring water.

Remember to just add a tiny bit and keep in mind that the oil usually just floats on the top, so one drop generally flavors up to a quart of water. A good rule is ALWAYS dilute the oils first by putting it in coconut oil, olive oil, liquid stevia, honey, sugar, etc. Otherwise you might run the risk of acid reflux or other mucus membrane irritation.
The mints are more powerful and one drop flavors 2-4 quarts.
(One other option is to make herbal teas out of herbs.)
